I bought this pattern in the before faze of my life . When ALS was not the defining focus of my creative journey. I loved the look and the possibilities it presented.

I have been waiting for weeks for someone to bring the pattern down from my workroom for me but they all seemed unable to locate it. My daughter was here briefly from New York last week and she was able to get it for me .
As you can see it’s a fitted dress and a sheer overtop. I haven’t and will not now be making the dress but the overtop is a favourite. I have made it 4 times but only 2 are photographed.

As I have a high waist this style sits exactly where I want it is extremely comfortable looks great and easy on and off . I will continue to make more of these as tops are my primary style now . Dresses are problematic so pants and tops are my go to.
I need to ensure that there is no flashing in the wheelchair and my clothing is completely comfortable. My sense of style is challenged with my body changes. I am no longer fit but I am well .
Adjustments are constantly being made to manage my life. Fatigue is ever present. It’s a day to day process.
I hope you are able to be creative in whatever way possible.
Happy Sewing 😊

Hi Sue
Enjoyed reading your latest blog.
Love the black and red fabric, looks lovely and flowy.
Would’ve been lovely having Alex home for a visit even if it was brief.
Sending love
Susan 😃
Thank you 🙏
