A Bit of Simple Style

I bought this thick cotton fabric from The Sewing Basket in Newington a few years ago the colour just grabbed me. But I needed to think on it before I started making it.

It is brushed inside and rough outside

I decided on a vintage pattern Vogue 2195 and used buttons that have been in my collection for 30 years.

I made the jacket but changed the sleeves

I put elastic at the wrist as that is an easier style for me to wear.

This is a jacket but can be worn as a shirt I have used press studs instead of buttonholes with the buttons stitched on for effect .

I haven’t worn this yet but will get a picture when I do.

Happy Sewing 🧡

Sue 😊
